PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Safe-Tech Elevated Work Platform Instructor Program is designed to fulfill the knowledge requirements of an EWP Instructor. Participants will be provided with the necessary knowledge, tools and skills to provide effective equipment specific instruction and evaluation of your EWP operators. Program is conducted on-site and includes both in-class and practical components (all relevant equipment must be on-site, fully charged/fueled, be in safe operating condition with current *LDI's)

(*Lifting Device Inspection: required annually under OHSA).
 

PRE-REQUISITES
Instructor candidates must be competent on all EWP types specific to your operation, possess effective communication and directional skills and be Working at Height certified specific to your sector.


COMPLIANCE

i. Program is in compliance with all Provincial and Federal Legislation.
ii. CSA Standards: B354:17 Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, require that only qualified personnel who have been trained regarding the inspection, operation, and application of an aerial platform, including the recognition and avoidance of hazards associated with the operation, shall operate an aerial platform.

DURATION & LOCATION
  • 1 day at your location.
  • Optional 2nd day includes a Safe-Tech instructor coaching and providing feedback to your trainer(s) during mock sessions or assisting trainer with the first classroom session with your operators.
